ABOUT US

Sports and Recreation for the Blind (SRB)  is a new 501c3 registered charitable non profit based out of Southern California. At SRB we help the blind and visually impaired communities get involved with adaptable sports and recreational activities such as Judo, bowling, fishing and rock climbing. The idea of SRB was originally thought of by our President Rolando Romero after noticing that there was not much available information about adaptable sports and recreation for both youth and adults. Nor was there truly any available adaptable sports and recreation activities. Out of this realization Rolando decided he would start a nonprofit that would in fact offer both information as well as adaptable sports and recreation for the blind. He has since gone along this journey and has joined forces with 8 other like minded individuals with a passion for this nonprofit.

We are a young nonprofit that is looking forward to providing the above mentioned adaptable sports and recreation for the southern California communities to start. As our mission statement says our goal is “To empower and enable the lives of the Blind and Visually Impaired communities through sports and recreation”. We hope you will grow with us and check out our upcoming adaptable sports, recreational and informational events.

And always remember our motto: "We don’t do different things, we do things differently”.
